Dee O'Donnell MRSS
Dee O'Donnell

I have been practicing Shiatsu since 2005 following 3 years training at The Shiatsu School Edinburgh. Originally an associate member of the Edinburgh Shiatsu Clinic, I now help run the business in partnership with Nina Jones and Maria Shlumukova.

I treat a wide range of people in my clinics and my focus is on how the work can help support you. I especially see a lot of sore joints e.g. hips and necks; and have a particular interest in working with women who are pregnant or want to be. I also treat people who are living with or recovering from an illness, be that a physical illness such as cancer or an emotional illness such as depression. And of course I see those who, like most of us, simply need some time away from the stresses of modern living.

I continue to develop my Shiatsu massage bodywork, attending courses in the field which are of interest to me, and which deepen my experience of the body further enabling me to give comfort oriented Shiatsu to you.

Maria Shlumukova
Maria Shlumukova

Having graduated from The Shiatsu School, Edinburgh in 2006 I have been treating clients at the Edinburgh Shiatsu Clinic and have recently become a proud co-owner, together with Nina and Dee.

I work with a variety of clients, helping them to feel healthier and happier. The treatments I do are interactive, with lots of feedback from you, so that you can get the best results from the session. Each treatment is different to meet your specific needs, be it to take time out and relax, supporting you through pregnancy or helping you deal with emotional upheavals that may come your way.

I have been fortunate to study with some fantastic practitioners both in Scotland and in England, which helps me to be creative and versatile in the treatments that I do. The learning has not stopped after I have graduated and I do further training to deepen my knowledge and further my skills as a practitioner.

Emmanuelle Le Coz
Emmanuelle Le Coz

I am in the 3rd and final year of the Shiatsu Diploma at the Shiatsu School Edinburgh, hoping to graduate in 2012!

It has been a fascinating journey so far, learning about the body, oriental theory and holistic health.

I am particularly interested in the interconnection between mind and body. I enjoy working with clients from all sorts of backgrounds, whatever the reason they come for Shiatsu.

Christine Knoll
Christine Knoll

3rd year student studying in Edinburgh.
I am enjoying my studies and look forward to this next year
where I will be able to learn more, and to understand
more about Shiatsu and how it can benefit people in so many different
ways. I am excited about this year at the Shiatsu clinic and the new clients that I will meet.

Colette McNeill
Colette McNeill

I am currently in 3rd year of my professional Shiatsu training with The Shiatsu School Edinburgh. After receiving a treatment in 2009, I knew I had to learn this amazing therapy. Shiatsu is a fascinating subject to learn, and is so much more than just a 'massage.' I'm interested offering support to people with their health and wellbeing, and I believe regular Shiatsu treatments can be hugely beneficial.

Working in a clinic environment is great experience and the support from the qualified practitioners has been invaluable for my studies.
